Gaww, you’re making me blush…
Progress for me has been a very bittersweet thing, not because it has been a particularly hard road, just that I’m NEVER satisfied and compulsively draw to the point of obsession, desperately trying to make my art come out looking the way that I want. Some people are born with the talent and others study art as a discipline, obviously which of the two is better is an entirely personal matter, but I have seen people who at the age of 19 couldn’t draw a decent anime picture. Yet, these same people, with a few years of schooling and practice under their belts, are drawing masterpiece that I can only dream of one day being able to create.
So, I guess what it is that I am trying to say is, simply that, anything you have or may do is only worth the amount of time and effort you put into it. I myself am constantly wishing I had someone else’s skill and hoping that with time I’ll be doing what they do, but it really doesn’t matter how fast you go, just as long as you get there and that although you may not be able to appreciate your own art, someone else probably does.
Anyway, I truly wish you the best in your endeavors and am still very flattered to know that someone actually keeps tabs on me XD
Although I feel that I am completely undeserving of such praise, for what it’s worth thank you. : ) Your admiration truly means a great deal to me.
ARggg, I love you all so hard right now is unreal! >:O
Thank you for all of the crits! So I went back and lowered his shoulder, tweaked his shoe, angled the breifcase a tad more, covered the revolvers, and lol added the handle to the briefcase (thank you that was very much fail on my part). I also defined the slacks a bit more at the top, although I had intended for his hands to be pulling on his pants, but apparently that was no look good so it had to go :D
oafoajdfo Thank you!!!
:-) cuddle?
Heh, no problem : )
For the most part he basically covers every line from the english trailer word for word, but (obviously) without his heavy accent (no pun intended). Some parts are worded slightly differently than they could have been, but that’s mostly for the sake of flow and ‘voice’. He doesn’t sound any smarter, really, just his language isn’t as broken—he sounds like he would have if he spoke perfect english and maybe a tad bit less dopey, but his ‘voice’ remains unchanged.
As far as the actual physical translation, you don’t find ‘literal’ translations when going between russian and english too often, mostly because there are cases were a certain word doesn’t have an equivalent in the other language and requires a good half a sentence worth of stuff to get the point across. For the most part, the translation here is fairly in-tuned and simple, with a few tidbits thrown in at the end entirely for fun that weren’t in the original trailer.
Can’t really explain it any better than that. Hope that was good, if you anymore questions don’t hesitate I’ll do my best help : )
