Photo study, focusing on skin texturing and drawing hair. Because up till now, I still can’t do those heh.
Draws time with Des. Always quality.
So I decided to do a study of RDJ, but his face was frustrating me so I just drew his ass instead. BI

Heh I know how you feel anon. I collect mine over time, and simply head back into my folders to grab a few when I feel like doing a study. However, for finding good photos to work from on the spot, my suggestion would be to search flickr.com or even tumblr in some cases. Or you can google stuff like: “gorgeous photos” or “strong lighting photography.” As long as you make sure your searches have a nice amount of ridiculous adjectives you should come up with decent photos, or so I’ve foud : ) Still, for the quickest results I suggest using flickr.
PS There are ‘life study’ sites that cycle timed photographs for you to do gesture drawings and quick studies from. You can try those, I don’t find them very helpful but who’s to say it won’t work for someone else.
Here’s the one I’m familiar with: http://artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/
just a few quick half hour photo studies, because I’ve been very lazy about doing these recently.

Feels strange not having any new art on my blog, so have some 20-40 min quick studies. The ones I could be bothered to find at least. : )
A few quick miniature color studies I did a while back. I’m hoping that once school lets up a bit I will be able to get back to doing these. Also, I apologize for my sudden inactivity, but I’m not dead—you all aren’t that lucky <3
30 min light (photo)study done in stream as a demonstration
Just a half-finished photo study. I may come back to this and bring it a little closer to finished, but for now it stays as is.
